White Sox Land Prospects Edgar Quero, Ky Bush From Angels
1 year agoThe Chicago White Sox got a solid prospect haul when they traded right-handers Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez to the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night. The Angels sent two of their top-five prospects, per MLB Pipeline, to the White Sox in catcher Edgar Quero (No. 2) and left-hander Ky Bush (No. 3), according to sources. Quero is a 20-year-old switch-hitting backstop who was batting .245 (62-for-253) with three homers, 13 doubles, 35 RBI and 39 runs in 69 games for Double-A Rocket City before the trade. He could be an option for Chicago in the big leagues in a few seasons. Bush, 23, made just six starts at Rocket City and had a 5.88 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 33 K's in 26 innings after missing time with an oblique injury. Because of his strikeout upside, Bush could have the opportunity to make his MLB debut as soon as 2023 in Chicago.
