The New Jersey Devils and free-agent right wing Wayne Simmonds (Predators) agreed to a one-year contract worth $5 million on Monday. The 30-year-old spent seven and a half seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers before he was traded to the Nashville Predators at last season's deadline. He combined for 17 goals and 30 points across 79 games, his lowest point total since the 2012-13 season. Perhaps a change of scenery in New Jersey will get him back into the neighborhood of 45-60 points which he enjoyed in five straight seasons from 2013-17. As of now, he is only worth nabbing in the final rounds on draft day in most pools.--Daniel Dobish
