Walker Buehler Reinstated and Starting on Tuesday
Walker Buehler (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Nick Burdi to Triple-A Worcester in a corresponding move. Buehler will return to the mound on Tuesday at Fenway Park to face the visiting New York Mets, an offense that ranks ninth in baseball with a .741 OPS. The 30-year-old veteran skipped a minor-league rehab assignment, so this will be his first start since April 26. He's been pretty solid for the BoSox in his first six starts of 2025, going 4-1 with a 4.28 ERA (4.29 FIP) and 1.22 WHIP with 29 strikeouts and nine walks in 33 2/3 innings. However, given the fact that he skipped a rehab assignment and that he's going against one of the better lineups in baseball, fantasy managers may want to keep him benched for his first start off the IL.
