Wade Miley To Start Wednesday
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers left-hander Wade Miley (side) will make the start on Wednesday against the New York Mets. Miley won't end up missing a start after dealing with cramping in his right side in his last start on June 23 against the Cleveland Guardians, when he tossed six shutout innings with three strikeouts and no walks. The 36-year-old southpaw missed four weeks due to a left-lat strain but hasn't allowed a run in his last 11 innings covering two starts since returning from the injured list. He has made 10 starts overall this year and has a nice 2.91 ERA (4.31 FIP), 1.02 WHIP, 11 walks and 31 strikeouts in 52 2/3 innings. Miley isn't going to overwhelm anyone with his stuff or velocity, but he might be a decent streaming choice in deeper leagues against the struggling Mets this week.
