Colorado Rockies closer Wade Davis got the job done against Cincy on Friday to record his NL-leading 18th save. It’s been five outings since Davis allowed a run, and he’s on pace for a career year, at least in the saves department. There are still overarching concerns about Davis’s walk rate and steadily dropping velocity, which is down for the fifth straight year, but owners have closers for saves, and Davis is producing those by the bucket.
