Vladimir Guerrero Jr. To Go Through Full Workout Tuesday
9 months agoToronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (knee), who is dealing with a left-knee contusion, will go through a full workout at the team's player development complex on Tuesday. Guerrero hasn't been sent for imaging, and manager John Schneider said there's "nothing new with him -- just being cautious right now." The Blue Jays don't think the 24-year-old's injury is serious, but he's still being held out of his second straight Grapefruit League game as a precaution. It's nothing to be overly worried about right now, but it's still not what fantasy managers want to see from a player who has had conditioning issues in the past. We probably aren't going to see the gaudy numbers when he hit .311 and blasted 48 homers in 2021, but Vlad still has the potential to be a top-five fantasy first baseman if he can stay healthy.
