7/10:Toronto Blue Jays phenom third base prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. should be nearing a return from a strained left patellar tendon, and when he does he will likely be promoted to Triple-A Buffalo soon. Guerrero has been out since early June, but has kicked things up recently with more baseball activities and is going to start running the bases this week. Assuming all goes well, he’ll likely return to raking sooner than later – with the Triple-A promotion coming shortly thereafter. At the Double-A level, he’s slashing an absurd .407/.457/.667 (1.124 OPS) with 11 home runs, 18 doubles, and 55 RBI in 53 games. Toronto will be hard-pressed to keep him in the minors for much longer – especially if they’re able to deal third baseman Josh Donaldson soon.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
