Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Hit In Hand, X-Rays Negative
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (hand) was forced to leave the game early on Friday after being hit by a pitch in the left hand, but X-rays came back negative. The 20-year-old phenom should be considered day-to-day and don't be surprised if he sits out on Saturday. Vladdy was hitless in his only plate appearance before leaving. The consensus top overall prospect before the season struggled a bit with major league pitching initially but has started to hit a stride of late and has his line up to .268/.333/.463 with seven home runs, 16 runs and 19 RBI in 165 plate appearances. He should be an elite fantasy contributor for years to come.
