Washington Capitals goaltender Vitek Vanecek recorded his 21st victory of the campaign on Tuesday as his team defeated the visiting Boston Bruins 2-1. The 25-year-old had one of his easier nights as the Bruins rested nearly half of its usual lineup but he still was tasked with stopping 24 of 25 shots against. Vanecek closed out what should be considered a strong rookie campaign for the Capitals - finishing the season with a 21-10-4 record to go along with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage in 36 starts. Considering he's started six of the Caps' last eight games, the Czech netminder seems likely to get the playoff opener next week as well.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
