2 years agoRule-5 pick Victor Reyes has had a mediocre spring training, but that doesn't mean he won't make the opening day roster for the Detroit Tigers. Following roster moves that sent Blaine Hardy, Chad Bell, Derek Norris, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, among others, to minor league camp, Reyes was still around. "I'm not going to announce that he's made it, but he's still here," said manager Ron Gardenhire. "I like the kid a lot. I feel pretty good about him right now." Reyes has been outplayed by fellow outfielder JaCoby Jones, but choosing Jones over Reyes would mean the Tigers would have to offer Reyes back to the Diamondbacks, which would be a shortsighted move for the organization. Reyes has decent speed but is not likely to offer much fantasy value outside of that in the upcoming season.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
