Former Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio decided against taking multiple offers to become a defensive coordinator for the 2022 season, according to league sources. Fangio is now likely to take a year off before returning in 2023 as the most coveted available defensive coordinator. The 63-year-old ultimately failed as the Broncos head coach because the team could never find the right quarterback. But his defensive units with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14 never ranked worse than fifth in the league in yards allowed per game. He took a Chicago Bears defense ranked 30th in the NFL in yards allowed to one of the best units in the league from 2015-18. In 2021, the Broncos ranked eighth in the NFL in yards allowed.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
