Tyler Lockett Dealing With Minor Tightness
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (undisclosed) mostly worked off to the side at training camp practice on Monday, and head coach Pete Carroll said Lockett is dealing with some minor tightness. The injury doesn't sound very serious, so Lockett should be back at practice sooner than later. Still, don't expect the 30-year-old veteran to play in the team's preseason opener this Thursday against the Minnesota Vikings. Lockett posted his fourth straight 1,000-yard season in 2022 with quarterback Geno Smith at the helm. He's also scored a whopping 45 touchdowns over the last five seasons. Lockett should be heavily involved yet again, but impressive rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba could take valuable targets away, and DK Metcalf will get his as well. There's still a lot to like about Lockett and his chemistry with Smith, but he's on the WR2/3 borderline in fantasy.
