Ty France Scratched From Lineup Against Giants
1 year agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Ty France (undisclosed) was scratched from the starting lineup on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. France will now miss his second straight game after suffering an undisclosed injury on Sunday in a scary collision with Rays third baseman Isaac Paredes while running the bases. The 28-year-old shouldn't be out much longer, though, and fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day. The right-handed slugger is currently hitting .267 (86-for-322) on the year with seven home runs, 22 doubles, 36 RBI and 52 runs scored in 82 games and 356 trips to the plate. Mike Ford is getting the start at first base for the M's on Tuesday and is hitting fifth in the lineup against Giants right-hander Keaton Winn.
