Twins Resting Lefty Hitters Against Southpaw
7 months agoThe Minnesota Twins are resting their left-handed bats in Thursday's meeting against the visiting Kansas City Royals with left-hander Daniel Lynch taking over in a spot start for the sick Brady Singer. Edouard Julien, Max Kepler, Alex Kirilloff and Trevor Larnach are all taking a seat. Manuel Margot is in right field and is batting leadoff, Willi Castro is in left field and is batting sixth, and Kyle Farmer is at the keystone and is hitting seventh against Lynch. Ryan Jeffers is also the designated hitter while batting in the three-hole for the Twins. The Twins usually rest most of the their left-handed batters when they go up against a southpaw, so this shouldn't be a big surprise at this point. Margot will obviously have added DFS appeal in the leadoff spot and is hitting .265 (13-for-49) with his only homer against a lefty.
