2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and a strikeout in Tuesday's Grapefruit League win over the Miami Marlins. The most notable was the fact that all of his damage came against left-handed pitching in this spring game. The 23-year-old enters the 2023 season as Boston's top-ranked prospect, and he should be their everyday first baseman. The 6-foot-4, 252-pounder hit just .197/.358/.408 with a .766 OPS, five home runs and 12 RBI in his first 27 major-league games in 2022, but he has the potential to be the American League's Rookie of the Year this season if he plays up to his potential.
