Triston Casas Homers In Tuesday's Game
2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and a strikeout in Tuesday's Grapefruit League win over the Miami Marlins. The most notable was the fact that all of his damage came against left-handed pitching in this spring game. The 23-year-old enters the 2023 season as Boston's top-ranked prospect, and he should be their everyday first baseman. The 6-foot-4, 252-pounder hit just .197/.358/.408 with a .766 OPS, five home runs and 12 RBI in his first 27 major-league games in 2022, but he has the potential to be the American League's Rookie of the Year this season if he plays up to his potential. Casas has plenty of raw power to all fields.
