Triston Casas Back In Grapefruit League Lineup
2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas (finger) is back in Thursday's Grapefruit League lineup against right-hander Duane Underwood Jr. and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Casas is starting at first base and is hitting second in the batting order. Casas spent a couple days on the bench in spring action due to left fifth finger pain, but he's back in there now and should be the team's starting first baseman on Opening Day on March 30. The 23-year-old left-handed slugger is hitting a strong .341 (14-for-41) with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, nine runs scored and 11 strikeouts in 15 spring games to this point. Fantasy managers probably won't get much in the way of a high average from Casas, but the power potential is very intriguing.
