Treylon Burks Up In The Air For Season Opener
1 year agoTennesseeTitans.com's Jim Wyatt writes that he doesn't know if Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) is going to be ready for the start of the 2023 regular season on Sept. 10 against the New Orleans Saints, or what exactly the receiving corps will look like in Week 1 with Burks and Kyle Philips (knee) currently injured. Most likely, it will be DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Moore and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in three-wide sets in Week 1 if Burks is unable to play after suffering a sprained LCL in his left knee in a training camp practice last week. The 23-year-old was only expected to miss a few weeks, but the Titans could play it safe and hold him out for the season opener. The addition of Hopkins made Burks less of a second-year breakout candidate in an offense that should still rely heavily on the run.
