Trevor Williams Allows Two Runs in Loss
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams (0-1) took his first loss of the season on Tuesday despite pitching well in a 2-1 loss to the Diamondbacks. Williams allowed just two runs on four hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out four. The 26-year-old has been excellent this season, posting a 2.59 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in five starts. All five of Williams' outings have been quality starts. He has faced some less-than-stellar offenses thus far but should continue to be a steady source of good ratios moving forward.
