4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith (ankle) and offensive lineman Andrus Peat (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Smith injured his ankle in the Week 15 loss to the Chiefs and is not off to a good start to the week, especially on a short week against the Vikings on Christmas Day on Friday. If the 24-year-old can't play, Tommylee Lewis and rookie Juwan Johnson would likely step in behind Emmanuel Sanders with Michael Thomas (ankle) on Injured Reserve. Fantasy managers shouldn't be considering any Saints pass-catchers other than Sanders and tight end Jared Cook this week. If Peat cannot play this week, it'll be a downgrade for quarterback Drew Brees in his second game back from cracked ribs and a punctured lung.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
