Trent Sherfield Receives Praise From Offensive Coordinator
1 year agoBuffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey said that wide receiver Trent Sherfield has done a great job of learning things at training camp and that he adds a lot to the team's offense. Sherfield isn't going to be drafted in most fantasy leagues this fall, but the 27-year-old is a name to file away. He was a favorite of quarterback Josh Allen in spring workouts after coming over from the Miami Dolphins in the offseason. Sherfield set career-highs in 2022 with 30 receptions, 417 yards and two touchdowns on 51 targets in 17 games (four starts). He's still competing with Khalil Shakir for the No. 3 receiver role in Buffalo this summer. If Stefon Diggs or Gabe Davis miss time with an injury this year, Sherfield could become attractive as a waiver-wire pickup.
