Trea Turner Exits Game 1 Early Tuesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner (back) left the first game of a doubleheader early against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday after he was hit in the back by a throw in the fifth inning. With the Dodgers having already clinched the National League West, it's highly unlikely that Turner will play in the nightcap against Arizona. Before departing, he had gone 1-for-3 at the plate. The 29-year-old was replaced at the 6 by Hanser Alberto. The 29-year-old is one of the most valuable players in fantasy and real life, so the Dodgers will be hoping it's just a minor injury. Turner came into the day slashing .304/.347/.482 with an .830 OPS, 20 home runs, 97 RBI, 93 runs scored and 25 stolen bases in a league-high 593 at-bats.
