7 years agoBoston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug was having a great game on Friday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning but was forced to head to the locker room early after he took a spill into the boards. Krug was battling for positioning on the puck when he lost his footing and slid hard, feet first, into the end boards in Boston’s defensive zone. Krug did get up on his own accord and finish the play, but he moved gingerly to the bench and headed straight to the locker room thereafter. The 27-year-old had two power-play assists in the game before his departure, giving him 12 this postseason and a two-point lead on any other defenseman. If he were to miss time, it would be a huge blow to Boston’s back end. Keep an eye on this situation. Krug is a must-start if healthy.--Kevin Acorn
