Tony Gonsolin Bothered By Elbow Injury
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin (elbow) said that his elbow has been bothering him for several weeks and it affects his stuff more than his command. He plans to talk to the coaching and the training staff about taking a step back with a stint on the injured list. It helps explain why he was blasted by the Miami Marlins on Friday night to the tune of 10 earned runs on eight hits (five homers surrendered) while walking four and striking out two in just 3 1/3 innings. The nightmare outing pushed the 29-year-old's season ERA to 4.98 in 20 starts covering 103 innings pitched. Gonsolin has been inconsistent of late on the mound, and now we know why. Fantasy managers need to prepare for an upcoming absence.
