7 years agoVeteran centerman Tomas Plekanec is getting a promotion to the second line ahead of Toronto’s home game Monday. The opportunity arises in the wake of Nazem Kadri’s suspension he received in game 1. Plekanec’s production has been anything but stellar in his short time with the Maple Leafs; he’s logged just two assists in 17 regular season games, and has yet to record a point in the playoffs. The shakeup in the forward corps could be a good sign for Toronto, who have looked severely out-manned by the Bruins through two games. In terms of DFS, leave Plekanec on the wire to see how this project pans out before pulling the trigger.--Kevin Acorn
