Tom Brady Says He Has More To Prove
5 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who will become an unrestricted free agent in March, said that it was "probably unlikely" that he'd retire following the wild-card loss to the Titans last weekend, and he wrote on his Instagram account on Wednesday that "I still have more to prove." New England can't place the franchise tag on Brady, who turns 43 on Aug. 3. Owner Robert Kraft said that his "hope and prayer" is that Brady either plays for the Patriots or retires. In one of the worst seasons overall in his career, Brady finally started to show his age in 2019. He didn't have the best supporting cast either, but his arm strength showed decline, and he's unlikely to be anything more than a middling QB2 for fantasy owners if he returns to football for another season in 2020.
