Tim Patrick Off The Fantasy Radar Entering Week 1
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick was the team's most consistent and reliable receiver in 2020 after Courtland Sutton (knee) suffered a season-ending injury in Week 2. Patrick averaged a healthy 14.5 yards per catch and 9.4 yards per target on 79 targets to become a weekly fantasy asset. But things look much different with the season-opener against the New York Giants on Sunday quickly approaching. Sutton is back healthy, and second-year pass-catcher KJ Hamler has effectively surpassed Patrick on the depth chart after Patrick battled injuries in training camp. The 27-year-old now represents excellent real-life depth for the Denver offense, but there simply isn't enough playing time to go around as things stand now. Patrick is off the fantasy radar in Week 1 and should be on waivers in most single-year leagues to start the season.
