Tim Anderson Back In Action Against Yankees
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (forearm) is back at shortstop and batting leadoff for the Sox on Wednesday against the New York Yankees and right-handed opener Ian Hamilton. It's been an eventful couple of days for Anderson. First, the 30-year-old got knocked to the ground by a right hook from Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez during a brawl on Saturday night. Anderson was suspended six games by the league (he's currently appealing) for that incident, and then he was hit by a pitch in the left forearm on Monday, which caused him to sit out on Tuesday. He's back in the lineup on Wednesday, but fantasy managers haven't been able to rely on him for much in 2023. The two-time All-Star has fallen flat and has just one home run, 19 RBI, 11 steals and is batting a very disappointing .242 (86-for-355) on the year.
