6/13:Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis may not be lighting the baseball world on fire, but he is doing just enough to keep his name in the mix as a player to keep an eye on. In a 4-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, Travis finished 1-for-3 with the team’s lone run driven in of the game. The effort puts Travis on a three-game hitting streak and also gives him hits in four of his last five games, as well as in seven of his last nine. Of course, it’s only been one hit in each of those games, and none of them have been of the extra-base variety, but it’s still nice to see from a player we expected zero out of in 2018. We’ve seen Travis go on plenty of fantasy-relevant tears in the past, and while he certainly isn’t on one now, a solid hitting streak could be a precursor to one.--John Smith
