Theo Johnson 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook: Could Build Off Rookie Season
Theo Johnson (foot) is back in action after a Lisfranc injury forced him to get surgery and miss the last five games of the 2024 season. He started to consistently get work as a pass-catcher after Week 7 of last season -- he was targeted 27 times in the five games between Week 8 and Week 13 last season, though he had just two games with double-digit fantasy points. The Giants' new starting quarterback, Russell Wilson, hasn't supported a fantasy-relevant tight end in his career, though, unless you count TE Jimmy Graham being greatly held back in Seattle as one. Johnson really hasn't put much impressive on tape, and his target numbers are pretty in line with those of Pat Freiermuth, who played with Wilson last season. He didn't have inspiring production, either. While the quarterback situation works itself out over time, Johnson is a dynasty stash, and not much more.
