Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko made a winning start to his NHL career on Saturday, making 26 saves in a 5-4 overtime win. He only had a .867 save percentage, but the Jackets got half of their goals on the power play, so it isn't really as bad as it looks. Also, three of the goals came in the final four minutes of regulation time, so Demko was really close to having a very impressive debut. He's Vancouver's second-round pick from the 2014 draft and one of the highest rated goalie prospects in the game. Neither Jacob Markstrom or Anders Nilsson have shown capabilities of carrying the team, so Demko's time could come very soon, although he's still raw as a 22-year-old.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
