Texans Not Sold On QBs Not Named Bryce Young?
2 years agoESPN's DJ Bien-Aime is selling the idea that the Houston Texans will pass on a quarterback with their No. 2 overall pick. If they don't take a signal-caller, they'll be starting either Davis Mills, who was tied for the most interceptions last year with 15, or 35-year-old Case Keenum, who has two starts since 2019. However, there is a belief around the league that Houston isn't sold on the other potential Round 1 QBs outside of Alabama's Bryce Young. Ownership could get involved and change that if they want a young QB to lead the offense, and Ohio State's C.J. Stroud would be a good fit from a value and need standpoint. But the Texans also love Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr., the team's top-ranked overall prospect.
