Texans Going Back To Davis Mills At QB
2 years agoThe Houston Texans are benching quarterback Kyle Allen and will go back to Davis Mills under center for the Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to league sources. Mills was the team's original starter this year before he was replaced by Allen in the last two games against the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins, both losses. Allen had five turnovers (four interceptions, one lost fumble) in those two games. Mills has 11 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this year for the 1-10-1 Texans, and they'll be able to further evaluate the former third-rounder before heading into the offseason. In his last start against Washington before being benched, Mills went 19-for-33 for 169 yards, no touchdowns and two picks, also scoring his first career rushing TD. Mills will be a low-end QB2 option in superflex leagues this weekend against Dallas.
