Tevin Coleman Absent Again Thursday
3 years agoNew York Jets running back Tevin Coleman (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and missed his second straight practice on Thursday. As of right now, it's not looking good for Coleman's Week 14 status against the New Orleans Saints. With Michael Carter on Injured Reserve, Coleman has served as the Jets primary back in the last two weeks, combining for 27 carries for 125 yards (4.63 yards per carry) and no touchdowns while adding five catches for 22 yards on seven targets. If he cannot gain clearance to play this weekend, Ty Johnson and Austin Walter would likely split the backfield touches, with Johnson serving more in the pass-catching role and Walter on early downs. La'Mical Perine would be active as the RB3.
