Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson Active Against Bucs
4 years agoWashington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin (ankle) and rookie running back Antonio Gibson (toe) are both active for the wild-card playoff game against the Buccaneers on Saturday night. Both players were limited in practice this week and were fully expected to suit up. McLaurin has the skills to exploit this Buccaneers pass defense, but with quarterback Alex Smith (calf) out and Taylor Heinicke under center, the 25-year-old second-year pass-catcher will have a much lower fantasy ceiling in the first round as a WR1. Gibson has been impressive as the lead back in his rookie season, but he shares touches with Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic and will be facing a Tampa defense that allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the position. The 22-year-old should be seen as a low-end RB1 on wild-card weekend.
