Teddy Bridgewater To Start Final Preseason Game
3 years agoAfter being named the Denver Broncos starting quarterback on Wednesday, Teddy Bridgewater will also start the final preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday. Drew Lock will eventually take over following Bridgewater. Bridgewater is unlikely to be in the game for long this weekend, so he'll be a poor DFS play in the final preseason game. In terms of season-long fantasy play, the 28-year-old veteran will be guiding a Denver offense with plenty of potential and talent. However, he's more of a game manager that lacks Lock's arm strength. He also led the NFL with five red-zone turnovers in his lone season with the Carolina Panthers last year. Bridgewater will become more attractive in superflex leagues now that he has won the starting gig, but his upside remains relatively low and his leash will probably be short if he struggles early on.
