Teddy Bridgewater Sharp In Preseason Opener
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was sharp in the team's preseason opener against the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday, completing seven of his nine attempts for 74 yards and a touchdown against Minnesota's backups. However, Drew Lock was equally impressing, throwing for 151 yards and two touchdowns in three offensive possessions. Head coach Vic Fangio plans to start Bridgewater this Saturday against the Seahawks after Lock received the "start" in the preseason opener. The QB battle remains a stiff one between Bridgewater and Lock, and Bridgewater must have another strong performance this weekend. The veteran signal-caller prefers short and intermediate throws and doesn't have the arm strength that Lock does, which would give him less QB2 upside in two-QB leagues if he eventually wins the job over Lock.
