Teddy Bridgewater Clears Protocol, Will Start On Sunday
Teddy Bridgewater (concussion) has officially cleared protocol, as expected. He traveled with the team to Pittsburgh and will start at quarterback against the Steelers on Sunday. The veteran single-caller first suffered the injury last week, forcing Drew Lock to take over under center. Bridgewater's status did not look great at the start of this week, but he made steady progress and is now good to go. With that said, he can be left on the bench in most leagues due to a tricky matchup against the Steelers. Furthermore, Courtland Sutton (ankle) is a game-time decision while Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and KJ Hamler (knee) are on injured reserve. If Sutton is unable to suit up, Tim Patrick and Noah Fant would likely serve as Denver's top pass-catchers, leaving Bridgewater in an unfavorable position.
