Teddy Blueger Downgraded To Week-To-Week
1 year agoVancouver Canucks center Teddy Blueger (knee) is set to miss multiple games after the team downgraded him to week-to-week. The Latvian forward suffered a bruised knee in the team's preseason finale last week and wasn't in the lineup in the regular-season opener Wednesday versus Edmonton. He was considered a game-time decision for the contest, which made it look like Blueger isn't facing a long absence, but the news that he's now regarded as week-to-week makes it clear that the 29-year-old will be forced to sit out multiple games. Blueger helped the Vegas Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup last season following a midseason trade from Pittsburgh. He's been a solid fourth-line center who had a 52 percent success rate at the faceoff dot in 2022-23.
