Taysom Hill Rehabbing During Minicamp
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that quarterback Taysom Hill (foot) is rehabbing at the team's facilities during mandatory minicamp this week. Hill had surgery to fix a Lisfranc injury in his left foot in January and was expected to miss six to nine months, so he remains up in the air for the start of the regular season. Hill has made 17 starts under center for the Saints the last two years due to injuries to Drew Brees and Jameis Winston, but Winston will be fully recovered from his ACL tear last year and is the Saints unquestioned starting QB, so Hill will spend most of his time transitioning to tight end in 2022. The 31-year-old has impressive playmaking ability with the ball in his hands, but he'll be competing with Adam Trautman, Nick Vannett and Juwan Johnson and isn't worthy of a fantasy pick currently.
