2 years agoCleveland Guardians pitching prospect Tanner Bibee has been called up from Triple-A Columbus to make his major-league debut on Wednesday at home against the Colorado Rockies. The Guardians designated pitcher Konnor Pilkington for assignment in a corresponding move. Bibee, 24, is the team's No. 5 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he'll have a chance to stick in Cleveland's rotation given all the injuries to their starters if he pitches well. In his first three starts at Columbus, Bibee had a nice 1.76 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, eight walks and 19 K's in 15 1/3 innings. Bibee's long-term upside is real with an impressive four-pitch mix that generates plenty of swings and misses, but fantasy managers in single-year leagues shouldn't spend too much on him off the waiver wire.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
