Taj Bradley Recalled for Twins Debut on Sunday
Taj Bradley from Triple-A St. Paul to start against the Chicago White Sox on Sunday. The Twins designated righty Erasmo Ramirez for assignment in a corresponding move. Bradley has been pitching in the minors since the Twins acquired him from the Tampa Bay Rays for reliever Griffin Jax on July 31. Although Bradley posted a horrid 7.53 ERA and yielded 21 hits over 14 1/3 innings with St. Paul, the Twins want to give him a look in the majors with time running out on their season. He made 21 starts for the Rays earlier this year and logged a 4.61 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP, 95 strikeouts, and 44 walks over 111 1/3 frames. The 24-year-old's final start with the Rays came July 23 against the White Sox, who roughed him up for four earned runs on four hits and three walks in 1 2/3 innings. Bradley will have a chance for payback on Sunday against a Chicago offense that ranks 26th in the majors in runs.
