T.J. Hockenson Returns To Limited Practice
3 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson (knee) missed practice for the first time this year on Wednesday, but he returned to a limited practice on Thursday. It's good news for his status in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings. However, Hockenson didn't do much on the field, so he might need to show the coaching staff more on Friday. If Hockenson were limited or out this Sunday, Darren Fells would be Detroit's starting tight end. The Lions would likely lean even more on their backfield duo of D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams, while receivers Kalif Raymond, Quintez Cephus and Amon-Ra St. Brown would see more targets, too. Hockenson scored in the first two games, but he's had only six catches for 52 yards in the last two games. Despite the recent slowdown, Hockenson is a must-start if he's active.
