Stuart Skinner Bounces Back With Shutout
Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner recorded his second shutout of the season in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Seattle Kraken, stopping 26 pucks. Edmonton's No. 1 badly needed this one after getting pulled last time out against the Dallas Stars and finishing with a 12.14 goals-against average. Goaltending has once again been an issue for the Oilers, as Skinner has gone 9-7-3 across 19 starts. He has a 3.00 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage. Before Saturday's matchup, Skinner had recorded a save percentage below .900 in three of his last four appearances. The 27-year-old has won back-to-back starts only once this season, highlighting his lack of consistency.
