Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton Still Missing From Practice
3 years agoNew York Giants wide receivers Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) missed another practice on Wednesday. Both players missed the Week 4 win over the New Orleans Saints and aren't off to a good start heading into Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys. With both players out last Sunday, Kenny Golladay and rookie Kadarius Toney served as the top-two wideouts and had good games, while former Cincinnati Bengal John Ross had a 51-yard touchdown hookup with quarterback Daniel Jones. Shepard remains second on the team in targets with 22, and he has 18 receptions for 223 yards and a touchdown in three games, so he should return to a big role in the passing game when he's healthy, but it'll be interesting to how the Giants handle Toney and Ross once Shepard and Slayton return.
