Stephen Piscotty Hopeful To Return Soon
5 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (knee) has been hitting the last four days and started running in a straight line on Sunday. He's feeling good in his recovery from a sprained MCL and is hopeful he can come back on the short side of his four- to six-week timetable. Piscotty has been out since late June, so he'll need to go on a rehab assignment before returning, too. The 28-year-old has been pretty average, at best, in 2019. He's hitting .242/.306/.391 with only nine homers, 37 runs, 34 RBI and two steals in 76 games, but he should return to his starting right field duties when he's ready. Piscotty hasn't been much of an asset in shallow mixed leagues so far this year.
