Steelers Trade For Ryan Switzer
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers acquired wide receiver Ryan Switzer and a sixth-round pick in 2019 from the Oakland Raiders on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2019. The team plans to use Switzer in the preseason finale on Thursday, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. The Raiders traded for Switzer from the Cowboys in April after being a fourth-round pick in 2017. Switzer must compete for a roster spot, but his addition isn't good news for Eli Rogers, who was suspended for the first game of the regular season. Switzer could return punts, but he's unlikely to see much of a role on offense if he makes the team.
