The Pittsburgh Steelers released cornerback William Jackson III on Friday, according to sources. Jackson has recorded five career interceptions and 51 pass breakups in his career and was due nearly $12.2 million against the 2023 salary cap. The 30-year-old defensive back began the 2022 campaign with the Washington Commanders before being dealt to Pittsburgh. He didn't play at all for the Steelers while being on Injured Reserve due to a back injury. In just four starts in D.C., he had 16 tackles (15 solo) and two passes defensed. The former first-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2016 will look for work on the open market after recording 205 tackles (170 solo), one sack, five interceptions (one for a TD) and 51 passes defensed in his six NFL seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
