Steelers Not Sold On Chris Boswell
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers are delaying kicker Chris Boswell's $2 million roster bonus, which was due in mid-March, until after the final preseason game. The Steelers would have outright cut Boswell if he didn't agree to it. The 28-year-old had a rough year in 2018, going 13-for-20 (65 percent) on field-goal tries while also missing five of his 48 extra-point attempts in 15 games. Boswell was one of the league's best kickers the year prior, making 92.1 percent of his kicks while going a perfect 5-for-5 on kicks from 50-plus yards. He'll be a risk/reward fantasy kicker selection this year. Rookie Matthew Wright is Boswell's competition this summer.
