Starlin Castro Only Marlin With Multiple Hits in Loss to Mets
7 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Starlin Castro went 2-for-4 on Monday in the Marlins 2-0 loss to the Mets. Batting third in the order, Castro was the only Miami player with multiple hits in the shutout. Castro is now hitting a respectable .296 on the year, although he only has two home runs after hitting 16 and 21 the last two seasons in New York, respectively. With 26 runs and 20 RBI to date, he remains a serviceable option in deeper leagues, but fantasy owners are hoping the power comes around, as the 28-year-old can no longer be counted on to steal bases. Castro can be expected to improve upon his current .101 ISO after posting a .153 mark last season.
