Skylar Thompson To Start Against Jets
2 years agoMiami Dolphins rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson will get the start against the New York Jets in the Week 18 regular season finale on Sunday, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol and backup Teddy Bridgewater has a dislocated pinkie finger on his throwing hand, so the Dolphins will be forced to start their third-stringer in a must-win game. The 25-year-old Thompson, a seventh-round pick this year, went 12-for-21 for 104 yards, a touchdown and a pick in place of the injured Bridgewater last week in the loss to the New England Patriots. In his only start in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, he went just 7-for-13 for 89 yards. Thompson will cost very little in DFS, but he also has very little upside against a strong Jets defense.
